What does a maintenance volunteer do?

In this volunteer role you will have the opportunity to support the hospice by helping to ensure that the communal and office areas remain pleasant and safe environments. We are looking for volunteers that have skills in DIY and repairing things, particularly painting and decorating and carpentry.

How much time will I need to commit?

This role is flexible and can fit in around your existing commitments. We are looking for volunteers who can give at least 4 hours per week.

This role is based at Royal Trinity Hospice, 30 Clapham Common North Side, London, SW4 0RN and shifts are available from 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who is able to complete painting and decorating and/or carpentry tasks to a decent standard
• The ability to work safely and within agreed guidelines at all times
• A reasonable level of physical fitness
• Tidiness and organisation
• Enthusiasm and motivation
• A desire to support the work that Trinity does
• A commitment to abide by Trinity’s policies and procedures
