Corporate donations volunteer We love fashion, but its environmental impact is destroying our planet and causing suffering to many of the workers who make our clothes. At Royal Trinity Hospice we are here to make shopping preloved fashion enjoyable, welcoming and accessible to everyone in London and beyond. Last year we saved 350,000 items from landfill by rehoming them within our wonderful community, whilst also raising funds for the core work of the hospice. What does a corporate donations volunteer do? Trinity’s corporate donations team works with retailers, wholesalers and other businesses to secure donations of surplus stock. These donations are then sorted, packed and distributed to our shops, helping to raise funds and keep high-quality items out of landfill. We are looking for volunteers to support our warehouse operations by Sorting, organising and packing donated stock (such as clothing, shoes and accessories) Preparing and labelling boxes for delivery to shops Assisting with the movement of stock within the warehouse — this include lifting and carrying boxes weighing around 15-20kg Supporting the corporate donations team with a variety of warehouse tasks, such as sorting stock, clearing cardboard, recycling hangers, and keeping the area safe and tidy How much time will I need to commit? We are currently looking for volunteers who can give at least half a day per week. Volunteering sessions take place Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, and we can agree specific days and times to suit your availability. What are we looking for? An interest in sustainability and circular fashion Enthusiasm, motivation and reliability, with a proactive approach to getting tasks done Good teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions A reasonable level of physical fitness, as the role involves lifting boxes (up to around 15kg), bending, sorting and standing for periods of time A willingness to take part in general warehouse duties, including tidying, recycling and maintaining a safe working environment A commitment to abide by Trinity’s policies and procedures, including health and safety What are the benefits of this volunteer role?
