Garden volunteer role What does a garden volunteer do? Trinity’s award-winning gardens provide wonderful views and a pleasant environment for patients, families, and staff members. We are looking for local people who have an interest in gardening to join our volunteer team. Our garden volunteers support our head gardener to keep the garden looking fresh and thriving throughout the year. How much time will I need to commit? We are looking for volunteers who can give at least 3 hours per week. Shifts are available Monday – Friday, 10am – 3pm. The role is based at Royal Trinity Hospice, 30 Clapham Common North Side, London, SW4 0RN. What are we looking for? An interest in or experience of gardening/horticulture A good level of physical fitness Enthusiasm and motivation Good communication skills An ability to work as a team, as well as under your own motivation A commitment to abide by Trinity’s policies and procedures In this role you will have the opportunity to keep the Trinity gardens looking wonderful all year round by completing tasks such as weeding, planting, pruning and watering help with the propagation of plants and other greenhouse work help with clearing the pond and mulching the borders gain more experience in gardening and horticulture learn more about the work that Trinity does gain volunteering experience for your CV What are the benefits of this volunteer role?
