Terry was above all an affectionate husband, loving father and doting grandfather. He enjoyed cruising, travelling, golfing, and following all sports with a seemingly encylopaedic knowledge. In his younger days he enjoyed playing Sunday League football and was a keen West Ham supporter. One of his favourite memories was watching England win the 1966 World Cup at Wembley.
