Hermione Hunter

Our mum Hermione was admitted to Trinity Hospice on 8 April following a short and devastating battle with pancreatic cancer. At the hospice, she was surrounded by warmth, dignity and exceptional care, which brought both comfort and peace during her final weeks.

Her condition stabilised temporarily thanks to the extraordinary support of the hospice team, whose kindness, compassion and expertise helped manage her pain and symptoms while preserving her sense of self and dignity. Hermione was surrounded by family throughout, with her husband Philip staying faithfully by her side overnight.

She died peacefully in the early hours of 27 April. The nurses and staff cared for her with immense tenderness and humanity, and she was deeply fond of them in return. Their support meant everything to Hermione and to all of us who loved her.
